Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev won his maiden championship for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in especial - caused him falling of the elite rankings and finally splitting with former trainer Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's first championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court from March of that year.
Success also signifies Medvedev has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my both daughters together, so to get a championship is particularly special," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six championship matches, featuring in that event earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching approach and frequent reactions on court had led observers to question if his capacity to perform at the elite level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in the past month, attempting to approach the net and compete aggressively, supported by an better serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, taking four of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The pair traded break points in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour championship, took control to push for a final set.
The opponent saved four early chances in a tight third set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner secured the win with a point at the net, with Moutet failing to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
